You pour out from up above

You see all the good in me
something that even I didn't see
When I wanted to run and hide
you were there for me to confide

When the things were going down
You always took off your mighty crown
To come down to me and say
everything is gonna be okay

I would sometimes run away
like a lamb that's gone astray
You, my shepherd, would never fear
because You knew that You were always near.

At different moments I'd wonder why
what did I do to deserve this and cry
What did I do to receive Your love
Your never ending care from up above.

So as I sit and pray today
please Lord humble me everyday
Please remind me of Your never ending love
that You pour out from up above.

Prayer For a Friend

"Prayer For A Friend"

Lord I lift my friend to You, I've done all that I know to do
I lift my friend to You
Complicated circumstances have clouded his view
Lord, I lift my friend up to You

I fear that I won't have the words that he needs to hear
I pray for Your wisdom, oh God, and a heart that's sincere
Lord, I lift my friend up to You

Lord, I lift my friend to you
My best friend in the world, I know he means much more to You
I want so much to help him, but this is something he has to do
And Lord, I lift my friend up to You

'cause there's a way that seems so right to him
But You know where that leads
He's becoming a puppet of the world, too blind to see the strings
Lord, I lift my friend up to You
My friend up to You

Lord, I lift my friend to You, I've done all that I know to do
I lift my friend to You.

Soldier

I guess my blog theme is Family for today? Enjoy!

Soldier

The first day that he left
With a big smile on his face
He gave me a high five
As he walked out the door

Everyday I pray
That he'll be home safe
Kneeling by my bed
Whispering soft prayers

Everyday I walk
Down to the old baseball field
Playing as a lead pitcher
On my high school team

Everyday I pray
That he'll be home safe
And maybe someday
He'll be here to see

Everyday I remember
The days we played catch
He was the very first
Who taught me how to pitch

On the last day of the season
Playing my final game
I just hit a home run
And heard a loud shout

It was my father
In the stands
Yelling
I'm proud of you son!

And without hesitation
I yelled back
I'm proud of you too dad...

Steinway

It's a short personification poem about a steinway~ enjoy!

Steinway

I sat
Infront of my old friend
He listened
Like many times before

I opened my heart
Willingly with ease
He accepted my heart
Letting me express

Sometimes
He would cry
Shouting in anger
and fury

Other times
He would whisper
So soft and
Tender

He reached out to me
When I needed him most

He pulled away from me
When my mind went astray

We had many ups and downs
Through these many years

But in the end I still sit...
In front of my old friend
